Pac-Land itself is split into trips. In each of these trips the objective is to get the fairy (that is kept under Pac-man's hat) to Fairyland and also to return home to Pac-Man's house. The majority of the trip involves moving from left to right avoiding various obstacles such as the enemy ghosts, water spurts and quicksand traps.
Completed the game
Let us not just remember the good games but also the bad ones. Here's one exceptionally bad game - Pac-Land.
It is Pacman with legs, boots, arms, hat and a pointy nose. Under the hat you hide a fairy that need to get to fairy land. Oh my.
The graphics are as bad as it gets. I could do better in MS Paint. The music is very frustrating and the controls will make you want to kill yourself. Mr Pac does not always do as he is told which leads to unnecessary deaths.
In this game's defence, it was created for arcade in 1984 and later ported to the Amiga platform on which I played it - but they could've updated the graphics, the music and fix the bugs.
